The CEO of Aqua Metrology Systems (AMS), Rick Bacon, recently visited BIOBOX facilities in Spain. The visit marks a milestone in the strategic collaboration between the two companies that promises to transform the way nitrate contamination of medium flow water is addressed in the United States.
Aqua Metrology Systems (AMS), headquartered in Sunnyvale, California, specializes in the development and commercialization of online, real-time analytical remediation solutions for predicting, monitoring, and treating contaminants in drinking water and wastewater. In contrast, BIOBOX, located in Zaragoza, is a Spanish firm specialized in the design, manufacture, and commissioning of prefabricated, fully automated compact plants for the treatment of drinking water, wastewater, and reuse
The collaborative efforts of BIOBOX and AMS have led to the introduction of BIOBOX Nitrates technology to the U.S. market. This technology offers a comprehensive, automated, and turnkey “intelligent nitrate treatment system.” This is particularly relevant given the growing problem of nitrate contamination in drinking and wastewater in the United States.
During his visit to BIOBOX in Spain, Rick Bacon had the opportunity to see how the first BIOBOX® Nitrates plant to be shipped to the USA was being prepared. This is a full-scale pilot plant that is being manufactured for validation in the United States. Equipped with cutting-edge technology, this plant represents a significant advance in water treatment technology, offering more efficient and sustainable solutions compared to traditional technologies.
In an interview with Joaquín Murría, CEO of BIOBOX, and Sofia Quintana, BIOBOX’s marketing manager, Rick Bacon shared his impressions about the technology, his experience in Spain, and the ongoing collaboration with BIOBOX.
Stay tuned for future updates on this collaboration, as well as news about this exciting project we are jointly undertaking.
We’ll soon share more updates about our progress!
